About my libraryI never get rid of books. Ever. Even ones I dislike. Thankfully I have little room and less money, so I do not often go a-buying. I joined LibraryThing because most of what I buy is out of nostalgia and I have been a having a hard time at the used book store remembering what I do and do not have.

8 months after joining: I have actually given away about 20 books since joining LT. There was no nostalgia attached to them (they hadn't been inherited, given as a gift, etc.), and I was able to admit to myself that I would never read them. I never thought I would be able to voluntarily get rid of books.
