About meI'm a professional musician; a guitarist, alas. I'm middle aged (47), and have been building my library since I was eleven. My reading has slowed these past two years or so: I'm no longer a minimum of a book a day....in fact, some weeks I read nothing other than my newspapers and RSS feeds. The cataloging I'm at present enjoying may well be some kind of displacement activity: instead of, rather than as well as.
I'm trying to write a novel (but who isn't?) and I hope that I manage to write something more commercial than my last attempt.

About my librarySomewhat Catholic in tastes. I collect Christopher Logue Firsts. (Well a chap has to have a hobby, after all.) There's a lot of Sci-Fi and Fantasy rubbish from my schooldays, but then again, let those without sin cast the first stone.

Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi, thanks for your message which you left some time ago so you may have forgotten about, or given up on me in disgust at my bad manners. I've been away from LT for a while and am just catching up. Thank you for finding my library interesting and I'd be delighted if you added it to your list. I would like to add your library to my list as well.
Thanks for your wee message.

I totally understand about when your on here you are too busy to chat, because I'm the same. :D

It's great!:D

Happy reading & inputting! (I'm not sure that's a word but it sums up what we are all trying to do here!-I think?!)

Hi Johnny - keep at the cataloguing - I've still got about a thousand more to go on, but I have to move things to get at them to list! Later in the year perhaps.

Sadly, Charing Cross road is not what it was (on the secondhand front at least!). That said, I rarely come away empty handed.

Have managed to catalogue one and one half shelves out of more than 50.
This is going to take some time.
