About meOn Reading Lord Dunsany's Book of Wonder

The hours of night unheeded fly,
                   And in the grate the embers fade;
Vast shadows one by one pass by
                   In silent daemon cavalcade.

But still the magic volume holds
The raptur'd eye in realms apart,
                   And fulgent sorcery enfolds
The willing mind and eager heart.

The lonely room no more is there -
For to the sight in pomp appear
Temples and cities pois'd in air
And blazing glories - sphere on sphere.
- H.P. Lovecraft, 1890-1937

I just noticed that joiedelivre appears high on my weighted list too
"I'd rather not get recommendations for fiction based on my non-fiction, or vice-versa. (Or worse - recs for non-fiction based on my husband's fiction!"

That is very smart. I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but my fiction is a melange of so many things that I feel my nonfiction is in some way more representative of who I am and of my interests. Not saying I prefer nonfiction...

Anyway, the "Members With" list is usually overwhelmed by my science fiction, for which I have plenty of other sources of recommendations. I think there are just many more people with those books than in other categories. In addition, I can count on one hand the number of libraries on whose weighted list I appear. I imagine separating them would be a good idea for me too.
Yes, but if you add both accounts, with whom would you not share many books? An interesting and extensive collection you have!
Cyteen and Downbelow Station haven't yet been cataloged?
Just saw your username over at "Nudgers" - excellent! Thought you might like - but not need - to know that I sing with a group called "Esprit de Chorus".
Welcome to the Green D, Joie. :)

Nice to have ya. Watch out for the roombas...

Hi joiedelivre! Welcome to the Green Dragon group. Hope you will enjoy it, I'm one of the N.CA folks who might be at the meet up, if we can ever decide on a date! I love DLS, Tolkien and Lewis. Now I'm going to go check your author cloud to see what other authors we share a liking for. :)
Details of trip to Pleasanton still pending. Please stand by!
Thanks for replying. I have the Riordan books (except for the last. I wait for the paperback) and have enjoyed them as YA. My copy of The Magicians and Mrs. Quent should arrive this week.
Hi Joiedelivre
