Real Sex
What Jesus Meant
Real Sex was an encouraging look at Christian sexuality re-enforcing the sanctity of marriage yet re-discovering its sexuality. Shuns any notion of Gnosticism still present in the Church today by promoting regular sex between married couples and promoting a household, communal view of the sexual act.
What Jesus Meant was a different presentation of the traditional Jesus. We often think of him as the almighty Lord, while ignoring the plain human-ness of his person. Garry Wills explores how Jesus knew Hebrew when his parents couldn't read, the nature of his ministry and his stances on politics, wealth, and religion (this is the controversial part) and to finish discusses Jesus' death and reasons for why that death was necessary for the Christian message.
