About meI'm a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Toronto. I study coordination in software development teams.

Besides reading, I'm very much into boardgames, which occupy nearly as much shelf space as my books. I like juggling, jogging, and playing the guitar, but I'm not really good at any of these things yet.

Val and I have a cat that turned down a promising career for a life of catnip and navel gazing.

About my libraryWhen we moved to Canada, I had to leave most of my books back home. My catalog here is only of what we've bought or brought to Toronto since then. Eventually I'll add all of the stuff I left behind.

I decided to go for it and add all of our current library here, including the embarrassing stuff (have mercy), travel guides, dictionaries, and books that aren't really mine, but Val's.

Finally, I also decided I wanted to keep reviews of books I've read, but do not own, in a separate library. If you're curious, you can find them at http://www.librarything.com/profile/yorch_loaned

You're a gentleman - it's no great matter. I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy the book, which is no hardship.
I notice you're the only chap on Librarything who has troubled to write a review of Camus at Combat. I was wondering if you could answer a question - I read somewhere years ago that Camus wrote an editorial about what one should do if one was offered a cigarette by a German soldier. It might have been included in Camus at Combat, but to be honest I'm not even 100% sure that it was Camus.

Does this ring any bells with you?

Thanks so much - think I'll get it - I'm thinking it probably will help bring up some positive feelings in the middle of all of this (read my) negativity. I'm looking currently at the old anarchist cookbook and didn't realize it was so full of hopeful and great info.

Hi - I see you have Beautiful Trouble. I'm thinking of buying it and can't find reviews here or on Amazon - any comments? Thanks.
