In fact, I have all of Romain Gary's books. I had that period too when I read all of them. It was happy time, " Et ces oeuvres m'accompagnent toujours". Romain l'enchanteur.
Regarding Argentine Writers- are you familiar with Tomas Eloy Martinez- very interesting- I read The Peron Novel and just bought The Tango Singer(which has a strong presence of Borges entwined in the plot)...also have Santa Evita- yet to be read, my wife is currently reading it but her tastes are more to James Patterson, Mary Higgins clark, etc- writers I never read(except if I am on a plane or beach weekend)
I am a big fan of Borges and have a growing interest in anything Argentine. Arthur Cohen is an old favorite especially In THe Days of Simon Stern.
glad to find another person who has this book. i read it so many years ago but still consider it one of the best books i have read.
