About meI am a psychotherapist living in the Midwest and of an age where I am contemplating retirement. I read a lot of nonfiction related to my work. That includes books on metaphysics and spiritual development. I also read books on alternative healing and history. Given the nature of my profession, when I turn to fiction, I look for something light, e.g., mysteries with humor. I also enjoying reading stories about personal and spiritual development.
About my libraryMy own library is large, includes books I haven't read or have just read parts of, and covers psychology, self-help, personal growth (including many books on the Enneagram and Carl Jung's theory of psychological type - MBTI), alternative healing, metaphysics, history, literature, mysteries, other fiction, religion, spirituality, and books about books. On this site I have started listing a representative selection of books that I have and then adding books as I read them now. I am then slowly adding other books in my library.
When it comes to ratings - I am somewhat conservative. For me a 5 star book would be outstanding. Most of my fun and pretty good reads I put at a 3 1/2 star. To get 4 stars it has to be a bit more special
