About meHi, I'm an academic, public services librarian who collects all kinds of books and movies. I'm responsible for the westerns, mysteries, and romances. I also love disaster movies, don't ask me why. My daughter is the Manga/Anime fiend and my husband is the zombie movie, economic/political commentary buff. We all read science fiction/fantasy. We love the outdoors, my honey is a geologist, and I like to know the names of things. All things. Hence the large natural history identification collection. And we love to cook.
About my libraryI tried to not include the tag books, movies, dvd etc... but in the end I had to give in. It makes the sorting and searching easier. I've used the word movies to include all movies. I use the word videos to include documentary, workout and other kinds non movie dvds/vhses. For television series I used the obvious tag "tv series". After all, they aren't movies even if they tell stories.
I also ended up using fiction and nonfiction tags on the books. Nonfiction includes philosophy, religious treatises and other works that could be considered fiction by some people. Fiction includes all creative works such as poetry, plays, prose and stories. Essays ended up being mostly in the nonfiction category because they are usually a point of view about something and not a fictional, creative work. I spent a lot of time thinking about this, and am still not sure if it's right. But it should work for me. :)
