About meI am 28, catholic, an indefatigable optimist, and an erstwhile academic (though I keep it up in my spare time).

This LibraryThing is a part of my project to fulfil the ancient injunction to "know thyself." If I can one day manage this, well - that's the best I can hope for. I'd like to have fun along the way, too. If you'd like to participate in this philanthropic venture with me, come aboard. I do rather like meeting new and interesting people.

About my libraryI read History and Literature at university, so I do tend to have a lot of books in those general areas. I'm also an avid fan of good children's literature, which I feel is profitable for all ages to read (and sometimes the most effective)!

I'm building up subject areas in Baroque/Early Modern studies.
