About meComposer, violist, music theory nerd, graphic designer, and avid devourer of every book within sight. I am an omnivore in every sense of the word. I love biographies, I love history (most especially of the Middle Ages), I adore historical fiction, and I am a geek for the classics.
About my libraryI come from a family of extreme bibliophiles- though I have not done the exact math, I am pretty sure we collectively spend more on books than anything else in life. This, combined with a Waldorf education (which meant early exposure to classic literature) created a hardcore nerd who adores spending her free time browsing at length in libraries and doing research just for the hell of it. To this end, my library is a fairly hodgepodge collection, and the vast majority of books I have read I do not own but merely came across. I also never ever read books twice (blame a photographic memory) so I tend to give away my books. Hence, what is represented here is a small portion of what I have read or want to read. Mostly, those books I had a reasonably strong opinion about, whether favorable or unfavorable, or those I want to obtain and read in the near future and don't want to forget about in the meantime.
