Thank your comment in answer to mine. One of my favourites is "The Woman in White" and of course "The Moonstone". Have you read "The House of Mitford" wonderful eccentrics, all of them. I am grateful to Nancy Mitford for being such a good writer and having the ability to portray them in her novels so beautifully. I will keep an eye on your Library. Have you read "Spring Moon" by Bette Bao Lord. If you like reading about "old" China this is a very good book.
