About meI'm a 20-something aerospace engineer and project manager. I drink tea.

I'm sure there's more, but that's what occurred to me.

About my libraryHeavy on professional and other nonfiction and reference books, and on RPG books--I tend to hold on to reference material more tenaciously than fiction. Fiction is heavy on specfic, with a slight bias towards the trans- and posthumanists on one hand, and the pulp greats on the other. I am making completist efforts in the Zelazny direction, and his work comprises the majority of my rares. Weird fiction of the Lovecraft Circle and his Victorian predecessors and influences is also a strong presence.

My library is in a state of flux right now. I've just completed a purge of ~150 books in anticipation of a cross-country move. Also, having consolidated my library with my husband's, I'll be adding his books here--which will change the flavor only slightly, our tastes being complementary.

My ratings skew high because, with rare exceptions, I don't keep bad or unappealing books after reading (or failing to read) them. Unrated are books I have not read, do not remember reading, or do not remember reading well enough to rate. Books tagged "professional" that are unrated mean I don't refer to them often enough to have an opinion on their utility (or they're my husband's.)

On tags: one will notice a disparity in the granularity of tags across various genres and disciplines. This is mostly a function of the depth of my knowledge in a given field. For instance, for engineering texts one will see quite a few tags, some quite abstruse, while books on the life sciences have only the forlorn "biology" tag. This is because I'm an engineer and don't know a damn thing about biology. One should assume a similar reason applies to other sparsely- or profusely-tagged books.
