About me30-something Australian academic librarian with three cats. I love my books and I don't want to swap or sell any of them - sorry!

About my libraryMy books lean heavily towards SF/fantasy, except for the children's literature, the obsessive collection of works illustrated by Graham Oakley, and my sheet music. I don't "own" some genre standards anymore after de-duplicating with my spouse Curufea (we have separate accounts), and am currently adding bags and bags of my childhood books.

hello there, from a fellow canberra librarian who catalogues her books for fun too! i think i've seen you around the hood, here and there. wonderful children's collection!
haha yeah I have around 50 and have read around 3/4 of them so far, I tend to borrow books and don't get around to reading my own. Bad practice but I intend to buy the one I'm currently reading, then exile myself from UC's grubby stacks ;)
Just wanted to let you know that we've been given permission by Tim to continue the BannedBooksLibrary project!
Hi Kath! Thanks for adding BannedBooksLibrary to your Interesting Libraries. If you're interested in helping out with the project, just let me know. Happy Reading!
Congratulations Kath - you have been chosen to receive an Advanced Review Copy of 'The Winds of Tara' by Katherine Pinotti, published by Fontaine Press! This controversial unauthorised sequel to Gone With the Wind published exclusively for Australian/NZ readers (for the moment) is causing quite a stir in New York lawyer boardrooms..
Look out for it in the mail - it was express posted Friday, so should arrive Monday. We all look forward to your valued review. More info about the book can be seen here: http://www.thewindsoftara.com/
A brief mention on Wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gone_with_t... gives you an insight into this book's origins.
hello, I am back as gobojg and this time I have started adding my own books - double figures already! I have been putting some reviews on as well. Pity I started with the neatest shelf of the bookcase, which also happened to be some of my old hardcover stuff - largely unread too :-) According to the "users with my books" I am bonding with the boys who read the misogynistic Willard Price adventure series.
Hi Kaffles,
Just mentioned Henry's Quest in a chat on childrens books and you popped up as having a copy. I managed to track one down a couple of years ago. I still have Graham's "Magical Changes" from my childhood.

Also, I'm from Wollongong. Not too far away.
Thanks

come check out my cheesy photo!
I don't know whether you are into bloggs or not but if you feel homesick for the beautiful Shoalhaven, I posted some photo's I took on the weekend on my blog http://shazlesol.blogspot.com/. Cheers Sharon
Yes, I worked at the paper until I had my first child and I worked with your Mum. I also new your Grandmother and Grandfather. I remember being in a fashion parade with Trixie at the local hall about 20 years ago. What a small world. I've lived in Greenwell Point for approx 36 years.
You have George Ordish, "The Living House." It's the only book I was ever tempted to steal from library! Luckily I found a used copy, so I'm not a felon. . . Esta1923
What a coincidence, I live at Greenwell Point on Greenwell Point Road, just opposite the Hotel. I know your mothers house, did she work at the Nowra News newspaper and are you related to Greg Watson?
Hi Kaffles, We are the only ones to share 'The Shoalhaven South Coast New South'. I live on the Crookhaven River which is pictured on the dustcover of the book. Just wanted to say hello.
