Thank you for that interesting bit about "The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio". I recently joined a challenge group, Fifty States Fiction - http://www.librarything.com/groups/fifty... - whose members read at least one book with its place set in each state. The Prizewinner was one that I've been thinking about for my Ohio read. I hope my local library has it (or can get it); it DOES sound interesting. I favor memoirs and historical fiction based on memoirs for my reading pleasure, so that one sounds like a winner to me!
By the way, now that I see your profile page today, I have to apologize for my comment about your dates/reviews. When I first got to your profile yesterday, there was no other comment about that subject. But, midst writing my comment to you, I was often interrupted, and took quite a while getting back to finishing. Meanwhile, looks like another member told you the same thing (though more succinctly!), so mine turned out to be redundant. But that's one of the things I love about LT, the members are SO helpful!
I just love wisewoman, the other member who posted help here. Well, I don't actually KNOW her, but she is one of the members I watch. I find her library interesting, and her reviews are just lovely!
