It does look like we might have a few of the same interests... Are you the Liam Keeley who wrote the Hoplology article on Zulu stick-fighting? If so, I think we may have briefly corresponded back in 2000-2001 regarding an article on Maasai fighting for Hoplos/Hop-Lite.
