Bought Hard-boiled Wonderland and I like it a lot. Weird, but in a nice sort of way. Makes you think about the mind and identity and stuff, and after a lot of scientific study books this is a brilliant way to look at psychology from a totally different perspective. So thanks for your advice!
I'll have a look in the bookstore to see which Murakami ones they have - not a big fan of short stories so I'll start with a novel. Thanks! Yvonne
Hi Keir,
Because Byzanne speaks highly of you, I feel I do know you a tiny little bit - been reading her blog for ages. So my shyness to ask you about Murakami is a bit diminished. I saw part of a documentary about this author on Dutch television and I was intrigued, and now I wonder what book to start with if I wanted to read something by his hand. Which one would you recommend?
Hey -- belated reply about the review of Playback. I've been migrating my book reviews to a new blog and now it's here: http://kenficara.net/books/2006/10/playb...
I have just joined the Penguin group! I particulary love my Penguins from the 70s: rows of orange spines.
