Hello again, I decided to put a few book-leaves and documents up afterall. Hope you enjoy those as well. The best is, At the Committee of the Sale of the Late King's Goods (Charles I., 1651), signed & sealed by Edward Bass and the Trustees of the king's goods (three of whom appraised the royal inventory at White Hall also signed the document). It's transaction # 1108, but I haven't found any others yet.
All the best
Thanks! I'll say the same of your collection. Your 16th century works in particular are making me quite envious. I'm really just getting started collecting really; I'm in my 20's with not much income. Besides books I collect historic documents and 15th-16th century book-leaves which I haven't put up on here. Stillingfleet's very rare Great Fire sermon (1666) is the latest addition, and I've typed it up if you're interested, http://oldesermons.webs.com/greatfireser....

Hi there. I wanted to thank you for your "kend kudos" WRT to my review of the Shakespeare true authorship issue. On the LTMB it is unusual for someone to even respond to a post unless it is to post insults or rebuttals against an opinion with which they disagree, or alternatively to merely use that post as a springboard for launching their own similar views on the topic. People rarely take the time and effort to simply show appreciation for the efforts involved in other poster's contributions, nor to acknowledge talent of any kind in others. They may do so privately but it is rare they do so publicly. So I would just like to say thanks for almost single-handedly raising the tone of the LTMB.

BTW, I'm just being curious here, but do you own any books with short, pithy titles? I wonder what you would have done when the LT title field was limited to a length of 32 characters? I would like to say more but my local J.C. Penney's is having a big sale on tin foil hats this weekend and I need to get a move-on to go stand in line, because those kind of items are snapped up very quickly where I live.
Many thanks for adding my collection to your list of Interesting Libraries. I am in awe of the books that you listed so far and look forward to seeing what other delights you own and have read.
Best Wishes
Ruth (Indigo-silk)
