I really hope you enjoy your SantaThing books. Happy Reading!
You are very welcome! I am glad you like them! Sorry I wasn't able to give you a heads up that they were on their way. I had a naughty puppy who decided to chew the modem cord for our internet so we were without internet for a week. I hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
Thank you for the wonderful SantaThing books! They were perfectly picked :)

Also, the dog in your profile picture is so adorable :)
I saw you read the ranger's apprentice series, I loved those books!! We have a topic on the series right now!! I would love to hear your feedback of the series when you join!!
It came!!!! Thank you so much, it's all awesome! Definitely enjoyed the prolonged holiday season :) *hugs*!
Hi, Kirby - sorry for the delay! I'm sorry, but the package hasn't arrived yet :( I promise to let you know the minute it does!
Awww, thank you! 8)I wasn't sure if you would like any of it. I'm so glad you did! I am really glad it got there on time! LOL
Hey, Kirby --

Does your school do the "Box Tops for Education" thing? I have a handful that I want to send to someone who can use them. Let me know!

This is just about the cutest Harry Potter picture I've ever seen!
Hey Kirby! oh, the little guy in my bathtub! Friday morning, Spot our outdoor kitty brings this up our long driveway as a gift. I thought for sure it would be dead. So after placing it in our sink, the lil one started coming around and kept placing his foot in a small bowl of water I put in there. Then eventually he could jump from one side over the divide to the other. So he went into the bath tub and after proving he could swim 3 hours later we carried him to our sub-division pond. Once his Mom heard him peeping she quacked one time and he jumped off a 2 ft drop to get to the water and to his family. There was one other baby goose swimming with them. Those babies can leave quiet a trail behind them...messy little ones! Spot can't seem to please us we didn't like the little snake much better.
Hey Kirby! Thanks for the cute comments on Flickr. Funny, you could go look but I had forgotten my email connected to that acct & could not log in. FIXED! = )
oh good deal. Glad everything steered around you. When I lived on our farm in KY,tornados were part of everyday life. But now that I have been away from them they seem to be more alarming to me. Anyway, happy you all are ok, cuz' you know I will get in my car to come get those "boys" that I love & drool over! = )
I was watching some news just now. Are you getting the bad weather from the tornado?
i LOVE that picture!!! so cute!
I got your yarn! I'm sure the color will look wonderful on Finn.

So about the breastbone to shoulder measurement, it's to let me know how far back to place the belly strap. The measurement would be from the center of the front of his chest to about the back of his shoulder blade, an inch or so behind his elbow. That way I know how much chest to knit before I start the piece to go under the belly. Does that make more sense?

You may have told me this already and if you did, I've forgotten, but did you want buttons or velcro?
Great! Christmas sounds doable, so I'll shoot for that. Hopefully that will mean no later than New Year's. At least there are still a good two months of cold even after Christmas!
Sounds good! I can't wait to see the yarn you chose. Assuming I'll get sidetracked as usual, I'm hoping to have it done by Christmas as long as that doesn't sound like too far away.
Hey! So there are two measurements I'll need for Finn and one that isn't necessary but helpful for the best fit. The two necessary ones are around his girth just behind his elbows and length from the base of his neck to the start of his tail. The "extra" measurement is the distance from the center of his breastbone to just behind his elbow/shoulder.

Also I can do buttons or velcro on the belly strap. I chose velcro for Miles because I could just see him chewing off the buttons because it seemed like a good idea. Let me know what you'd like for Finn.

Do you have my address from previous things? I can't remember.

Hopefully your skeins are around 100 grams each, in which case 3 will be perfect.
thanks so much for the info. We run away each Oct and I am anxious to see more of the Ozark area. we try to to hit the events on a week day hoping they are less busy, I like pottery and am drawn to garden decor as well....OK and the food!!! Thanks again.
kirby, are you anywhere near Bentonville or Rogers? I think we are planning our Oct escape their next month. My husband lived in Sprigdale & I keep saying how I loved Fort Smith. Thought we might hit a festival then.
No the book did not arrive sorry.
I haven't received it yet, but I will keep on the lookout and let you know when I receive it.
yes, I got it, it's adorable
I went there and may have overdosed! You could certainly do a book and do photo journaling from the dogs view point! Let the boys know they are stars in Georgia.
Kirby, got my Finnegan fix today. I have had to show him to my husband and co-workers!
That is a bit far for a movie! But let me know if you change your mind. :)
Give word on when you're ready for The Lightning Thief. It will be a reread for me but I really enjoyed that book. I look forward to discussing it with you. :)
You're welcome!
Hi, Kirby! I was watching someone walking their dogs tonight and mentioned to someone about Finnegan chewing through his leash. They came up with a suggestion of putting bitter apple on the leash. I hope that helps! Have a good and very exciting Seuss-a-thon! :)
hi Kirby,

Was just catching up on HE, and saw your news about the ice storm. Just wanted to say I'm glad you are safe, and I'm sorry you had to go trough it.

Give Kirby and Finnegan a cuddle from me!

It looks like I worried about you with reason! I read your posts on the GN/BN thread and the new one with your photo links. Your last post before today had left me contemplating between your broken toe and the weather keeping you away.

I'm glad you have a friend you can go to to get laundry done and such. Also that you're able to have something nicer to eat and that your power went back on since your comment. Most of all, I am glad you're safe. How scary! The pictures are unbelievable.

I hope your power has stayed back on! Keep warm and safe!
How are you doing, kirby? Did the electricity go out again? I hope you're safe!
Sorry you've been so sick! I'm only going through about half of that right now but know from that little that it's just no fun! Did you have a fever? I wonder if your past/ongoing ear infection was related to you becoming sick to your stomach. We think that's why I was feeling that way since I don't have a flu. I hope you keep feeling better and that your sense of taste improves.

Also, I hope Scholastic smooths everything over. I am sure it was just miscommunication or things happening at the wrong time. Sometimes like with tuition papers I would get in the mail somewhere on the letter would say for me to ignore the letter of some "existing fee" if it no longer applied because it had been paid. I would call Scholastic if I were you, though, just to be sure they know there isn't any issues. I think you are all clear and in the green, er, whichever color. :)

*hugs back*
Hi, kirby. Are you okay? TNP thread suggested you might be feeling a little better today and I hope that's the case.
I got your Christmas card! :D Thank you!! That is my favorite card I have ever seen! Give the pups a hug from me, since I'm sure it was all their idea. ;) Merry Christmas!
Hi!

I was just looking at pics of your beautiful dogs..!
So sweet looking :)
I was trying to find where you said what breed the puppy was and I am not seeing it.

He is just gorgeous and I would love to know..

thanks and have fun with your new family member :)

Sure! Peanut butter, chocolate, or some of each? Just leave me a private post with where to send it. :)
I agree with your opinion of that survey. I also did not finish it. . . and saw no connection between its questions and reading.
Kirbyowns, thanks for the hug. Now all I need is a few stiff drinks and it won't matter so much. ;)

Well, they are relocating our Avid teacher to my room so they can create another computer lab. As for me, I really don't know where I will be. I was told originally that the move would take place during our Christmas break and I thought I was going to shoot flames. But, at the end of the day today they thought mid year would be best. Some of my classes are only half year and it makes sense to do the change then.
I get moved all the time anyway. I teach reading interventions and I'm guessing they don't mind moving me. I really shouldn't complain because there are some interventionists in my county who don't have a room at all; just a wee little cart that they push around. Still, I am a little disappointed. I finally had a room that I liked...with windows that open!!
Ah well..thanks for the hug:)

I was just about to post a comment for you to tell you that I got the book, when I saw your comment. Yes the book arrived. Thanks! I can't wait to start reading it!
Hi, kirby! How are you and kirby doing? (My, that sounds funny. ;)

I haven't gotten my paid flickr account just yet, but I've decided I'm definitely going to get one. They charge $24.95/year or $47.99/2 years. I'm thinking of simply signing up for a one year paid account for now. It looks like it's worth it. There aren't any limits for photos with a paid account plus they let us download videos if we have a paid account as well. (There's always YouTube for videos, but I can't manage to get my account to download my videos there.) I do wonder what happens to paid accounts after the year (or two years) is up if we forget to pay. I've no idea what happens in that scenario.

Good luck with flickr and hope you and the kiddies continue having fun with your class activities and playing with kirby! :)
Locomotor mortis!

Ah-ha! I caught you! ;)

:P~~~

Hope the kiddies are being good.
