About meI like all kinds of books, but in particular things with a slightly darker edge. Also, because I practice medicine for a living, I enjoy medical history and science related literature.

About my libraryJust starting this, but I have tons of books and not much time, so it may take awhile to input everything. You can see there are some great novels as well as some that are purely for entertainment value. I have quite a large collection in storage that still needs to be added.

Hi, I got the books that you got me.I'm looking forward to reading them since my semester's over. Happy holidays!
We share sixteen books and neither of us have a HUGE library so that's pretty neat. lol Nice to meet you. I'm Heather. I live in Maryland. :-)
Just fluttered over from the 'balancing work and writing' forum, and when I read your profile, the book that popped into my head was The Lobotomist by Jack El-Hai. I usually wind up using my breaks and lunch hour to write. That way, I'm guaranteed at least an hour and a half every day.
ugh, I didn't love it, too dry and boring. Not Ripley's believe it or not for sure!
Thank you...but compared to many other people on here, my library is so miniscule! And it's always nice to see another White Oleander fan on here :]
Thanks for popping by my page. Great to hear from you.

I sometimes despair that I do not seem to like much modern acclaimed literature - especially the female lit of the past 5 years. I sometimes pause to put things into words as people can get rather upset. However 'The Master Bedroom' was an ARC and so I was obliged to write something - I was quite surprised reading other people's impressions after the fact.

I am also in medicine, also enjoy the darker side, have a bias towards male Brit writers for some reason.

Interesting you are also in medicine - I am a GP in Vancouver married to a paeds guy. As you can see I have a serious book addiction which does not seem to have a cure at present!!

Cheers,

Karen
