About meRetired (academic librarian), always had a vocation for absolute leisure :-) Busy with meditation, piano practice, gardening, reading (new good fiction, old 'literature') and a little maintenance of my limited German and reasonably fluent Esperanto.

About my libraryEsperanto, literary classics, poetry, the "great books". Am also including titles I have read but don't own - tag RNO - and others I intend to read - tag 2BR.

Hello! Thank you for your lovely message. Yes, I really must get around to reading the Anna Goldsworthy soon. A violinist friend recommended it to me last year but when there are SO many books I want to read it's hard to prioritise any one book over all the others! The TBR list is getting worked through very, very slowly... but it probably doesn't help that I keep buying new books. I slowed down for a while and did a cull when I moved interstate, but my buying habits have increased again. Such is life.

Please do let me know if you hear of any good novels which feature music. I have a list of titles others have mentioned and many of them I haven't read yet. But when I find a good one I often post about it on my (currently sadly neglected) blog, along with a music selection associated with the book. So I'm looking to build up a list there which can serve as a bit of a resource to others. I always welcome suggestions. :-)

Happy reading & best wishes,

Mi estis for de LibraryThing dum kelkaj semajnoj, kaj jxus nun vidis vian komenton. Do, vi estas "klerulo," sed mi estas nur studento. Post 30+ jaroj, mi denove lernas cxe nia loka universitato. Eble mi finfine diplomigxos!

Mi vidas ke estas E-o grupo en Canberra. Mi envias vin! Mi esperas ke mi baldaux povas starigi lokan grupon. La plej proksima grupo cxi tie estas pli ol 200 km for. :-)

I'll definitely look into the Lorin Roche book. It sounds interesting. But then I'd have to find the time to actually meditate, instead of just reading about it. But that will have to be after I enter the other two thirds of the library...
