Eighty Acres is a favorite book of mine too. A couple of similar farm memoirs are PULLING DOWN THE BARN, FROM THE LAND AND BACK and WE HAVE ALL GONE AWAY. And there's my own REED CITY BOY. I'm guessing you might be a Michigander too. - Tim
