About meI am a historical archaeologist currently finishing my bachelors at the University of Arizona, after which I will be attending graduate school. I specialize in old world archaeology, which means Europe, the Mediterranean, and Middle East.
I also dabble in writing in my spare time and have written three books, though none have been published. I must admit however, that I haven't tried very hard. Who knew that writing the book would be the easy part?!
Between school, work, writing, and martial arts, not to mention a social life somewhere in there, I've picked up the habit of reading a book in one sitting. If its good I go back again and read it more thoroughly.
About my libraryI joined librarything when a very good friend sent me a cat scanner, with no explanation. It took me an hour to figure out what the hell it was. But when I did the entire living room was littered with every book I owned as I attempted to scan all 200 in one sitting.
My library began because I got tired of the book dash at the university library when a big paper was due. If you didn't get there in time all the books were gone. I like to take my time. So now when I paper is due, I rarely have to go to the library. Instead I own all the books I usually need, or use it as an excuse to buy them.
Spending more time in the bookstore reawakened my love of fiction and reading more reminded me that once I had loved writing. The rest, as you would say, is history.
