About meI'm a freelance writer specializing in pets. I write the Creature Comforts column for MSNBC.com and have written many books and articles about breeds and dog and cat care, health and training. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, traveling or playing with my three Cavaliers.

About my libraryNot long ago, I could have said that most of these books were on my shelf, but I've begun adding books that I've read throughout my life, whether or not I still own a copy. It's heavy on mysteries; I also have lots of books on dogs and cats, history, science, sci-fi and fantasy, tea and teapots, art, marine life and fiction--literary and otherwise.

Wow are you an article writer, tell me you favourites.
Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Paris Trout, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
