About meI was born in Rochester NY. I currently live in Clarks Summit PA, but spent four years in Anniston, Alabama. From 1992 to 2002 I worked for HarperCollins as a Customer Service Rep, but retired when my husband and I went to live in Alabama until 2006 where he taught computer science (he had just retired from the University of Scranton doing the same thing but wasn't ready to stop working quite yet). While in Anniston I volunteered at the library there, first helping out with a book inventory and then I scanned and cataloged over 10,000 very old glass negatives that had been sitting on shelves disintegrating. They are all online at http://www.anniston.lib.al.us/ if anyone would like to see them. Just scroll about half way down until you see old pictures and click on the site there.

I have two kids, both with graduate degrees; both avid readers. My son keeps me supplied with Star Wars and Star Trek; my daughter reads a lot in Portuguese as she works toward her doctorate.

As mentioned below, I like booksales. I used to run, with my husband, the booksale at the Abington Community Library near where I live. It's run by their Friends group, of which we both are members and past officers.

About my libraryIt is eclectic, but tends toward sci-fi and mysteries (especially with cats).

I usually read a book and then throw it into a box to be donated to my library's Friends' booksale - which is twice a year and where I get more books to read.

The books here are what I have read and what I remember having read, though I will undoubtedly forget many or stay up nights remembering them.

Several authors that have become favorites, I found out about when I helped with an inventory of the public library in Anniston, Alabama.
