About meI am a 33 year old married who stays at home and runs her own buisness (internet books store). Joined the local knitting guild and am loving that! I share my space with a DH, 1 dog and 2 cats, and a whole lot of yarn and about 8500 books. DH just shakes his head and say's "as long as you are happy." One day we are going to reach maximum capacity, and then I wonder what he'll say? Hoping he'll buy me a bigger house, but then I would have to move all the book goodness :)

Noticed you liked White Oleander, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more before you commit:

Krissa,

I mostly buy my books from Chapters... mostly because there's always a location close to me and my friends and family always get me gift certificates for presents. I do feel bad about it, so it's always on my mind to try to buy from more independent sellers... When I go to Kensington, Kensington Pages always has that bargain table out front and it ALWAYS sucks me in! However, to keep my expenses down I have been getting 90% of my books from the library.

I think McNally Robinson folded late last summer. Their lease was up in the building and they didn't think it was worth it to find a new space in Calgary.

For Early Reviewer, I was one of those LUCKY people who got Any Given Doomsday. Only because I felt an obligation to LT I managed to finish it because I wanted to burn it! I also have won Inside Straight: A Wild Cards Novel by George R. R. Martin back in December, but still haven't received it! I'm jealous that you've gotten books that you've actually liked.
Hi Krissa,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on the Santa thing-- I was out of town. You have so many books on your profile that I was hoping you hadn't read the Time Traveler's Wife and just forgotten to add it. I couldn't get past the first page the first time I opened it, probably because I'm always a little wary of books that are really hyped, but when I picked it up a second time, I couldn't put it down. It's one of those books that I thought about a lot afterward. I hope you enjoy it too!
I just started reading Harlan Coben, after someone said that he had written their favorite book. His characters are really down to earth, and he certainly kept me guessing. Merry Christmas!

I need to take the blog and website info down.. or at least update. I am a teacher, wife and mom.. so between all of this I take leaps/whims from time to time and start a new blog or site. So nothing really on there in a long time. In fact. thinking I will just read/read your blog and be a blog master vicariously through you. lol
Krissa I am your recipient of library thing's secret Santa. Thank you so much! I am so excited to start reading. I just finished a book last night and I was wondering what I was going to read over the Christmas Weekend. Now I know! I shall start with Beyond the Highland Mist (because it just looks HOT!) Then I'll read Some Like It Hot-Buttered.. for a good laugh. Thank you again.
