About meI am a life-long lover of books. This probably began with my grandfather, who lived down the street in my early years, reading "Mailman Mike" (my favorite) or some other book to me almost daily while we lived there.

My profession is architect, but I have always had the urge to teach and do so regularly in the church context. If forced to pick a favorite genre of books, I would have to say history, including historical fiction.

I have found that I agree in principle with C. S. Lewis that one should always be reading at least one book 100 or more years old. Alas, I am not always a practitioner of this principle.
