About meI go through spurts where I read a lot and then I might go for some time without reading anything at all. I've read all of John Irving's and Haruki Murikami's novels; Haruki Murikami is probably my favorite author. I have a nook for ebooks, but I prefer to read paper books. I like sci fi and Philip K. Dick is my favorite sci fi author--Ubik is my favorite sci fi book. I don't know if I can really say what my favorite book is overall, any more than I can say what my favorite movie is.

About my libraryMost of the books I read come from the public library or inter-library loan, along with some ebooks that I've downloaded from project gutenberg. I read a disproportionate amount of science fiction. Books tagged "urbandale" mean that I want to read that book and it is physically at the local library, and books tagged "nook" mean i already have the book on my nook but haven't read it yet. The collection "book" is comprised of all the books I've read since becoming a member of LT (not including graphic novels and comic books).
