About me Yes, people really call me Tree. the 'LadyMiss' was just to distinguish me from the rest of the hippies on the net and is a nice little play on words, too. I've also been known as LadyMissRed, but that is only when I'm feeling misunderstood.

I'm an Aries/Taurus cusp rat baby.

I'm user experience designer by profession, a belly dancer by passion and a thingie by the light of the silvery moon.

I don't remember never being able to read. I read The World According to Garp when I was 6 and enjoyed it more then than when I read it again as an adult.

I read anything and everything. Not even the back of my cereal box is safe (anyone have the ISBN for Rice Krispies?). I welcome recommendations.

I used to borrow books every single week from the local library, until I was old enough to buy books for myself. Now I'm on a mission to purchase every book I loved from my childhood.

About my library It has a definite fantastical lean, from all out Tolkien-esque stuff to magical reality.

It only contains books I love. Books that I didn't enjoy find a new home through our nearest second-hand book store.

Anything tagged with boimonkey belongs to my beloved, Ghost.

My Neil Gaiman collection is large enough to warrant its own bookshelf. I'm a little bit of a completist about his work and much of it is personalised. And yes, I do have THAT Duran Duran book, and yes, it IS signed. :P

Hi...Scott from AFNG here. Nice to see you on here :)
Hi there! I just had to say hello when I saw you and I are the only one with the children's book, Gay Purr-ee. It was one of my most favorite when I was a small child and I still enjoy it! I have just discovered Gaiman and Pratchett, thanks to my 12 year old. How did I miss these two?
hey there, tree. (what an enchaNting name!)

i first came across your collection when i noticed we were the only people that share "The House of Secrets" graphic novels... a surprise at first, only that no one else has them. not, of course that WE both have them, since we share so many other lovely books. :)

and what a wonderful library you do have! i've spent some time admiring it, so i thought i would finally stop lurking amongst the shelves and say hi. i can't resist commenting on your completist tendencies towards neil gaiman. i am the same way. indeed, he is as charming and intelligent in person as he is in his works, which i find to be all the more reason to hunt down the treasure trove of his words and add them to my shelves. not always the case, with other authors, sadly.

anyways, didn't mean to ramble on there. i usually do and it takes me sometimes on the most delightful journeys but doesn't always make sense at the time. *smile* so, without any other twists and/or turns in any direction whatsoever:

from one book-lover to another, i greet you with much admiration, and yes, it must be said...a small touch of envy.

much bliss your way & happy reading!

Do you keep a seperate library for books that have gone to the used book store? (I like your tagging solution for your boy's books - mine are all tagged "Chris' Book" and it's not nearly as cool-sounding).
