I've read your Jane Austen reviews. And I don't quite understand: why should the novels be considered indigestible just because they gave you a tummy ache? Of course I understand what you're saying, I'm objecting, if that is the word, to the baby being chucked out with the bathwater. Snobs in Miss Austen's novels? How could she get along without them?
