About meI'm a passionate reader and have been since I was a child. My mom insisted, that every summer, we join the library's summer reading club. Because a certificate was given for every ten books read, I would set a goal for myself, for the number of certificates I'd earn. I think the most I earned in one summer was 6 certificates. To make sure I had really read the book, Mama made my sister and I write book reports AND, she'd read the book herself! I'm so grateful for her developing this passion in me!

About my libraryMy library is a collection of recommendations from friends, personal interests and the summer book lists featured on NPR. This summer, I challenged my fifth grade students to read as many books as possible from a reading list I gave them. I chose books from that list as well, and am reading those this summer.

You are welcome!
I recently read Saint Louis Armstrong Beach and enjoyed it tremendously. Since visiting New Orleans post Katrina, I've read as many books as I can regarding this subject.

I write to say how much I enjoyed your well-written review. Thanks!
