About meI'm a passionate reader and have been since I was a child. My mom insisted, that every summer, we join the library's summer reading club. Because a certificate was given for every ten books read, I would set a goal for myself, for the number of certificates I'd earn. I think the most I earned in one summer was 6 certificates. To make sure I had really read the book, Mama made my sister and I write book reports AND, she'd read the book herself! I'm so grateful for her developing this passion in me!

About my libraryMy library is a collection of recommendations from friends, personal interests and the summer book lists featured on NPR. This summer, I challenged my fifth grade students to read as many books as possible from a reading list I gave them. I chose books from that list as well, and am reading those this summer.

Lauren!!! I found your page!! My sweet friend how are you doing, did you get The Leopard yet? I'm struggling to find time to read it, NOW, I'm going to bed NOW to read...love sal xxx
Noticed you liked Mudbound, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more before you commit:
