About my libraryMy library is nearly all non-fiction, mostly in the area of personal and spiritual growth, leadership, relationships, and diet or weight loss. I don't mind buying these books because I may refer to them again or loan books to others if I have something that seems applicable to their situation. On the other hand, I almost never re-read novels, so I seldom feel compelled to purchase them.
Not that I don't like fiction. I do! However, I mostly satisfy my fiction interest through listening to novels from the library--primarily murder mysteries, but I'll try anything on the shelf that looks interesting. For example, I've recently discovered I enjoy listening to memoirs. Hard copy--I do have a nice collection of "The World's Best Reading," a series of classic novels published by Reader's Digest twenty years ago. I also have the whole series of Harry Potter books and some other novels that I believe have or will stand the test of time.
