About meI am a MLIS student and teacher working in a special library. I love books and can't get enough reading. I tend to collect more than I can handle - but it's a good thing for sure. I taught 4th and 5th grade for a while, so I have a bundle of YA books too.
For 2008 I tried not buy any books. For real. I read what I own or got it from the library. I did allow myself a couple books when I was on vacation. :)
For 2009 - I am letting new books in -- and borrowing a bunch -- I am trying really hard to complete my 999 w/out any overlaps!
I am working hard to share my love of reading with my little guy -- of course I can retell Mrs. Wishy Washy by heart these days. But cozying up and "talk about it" [as he says]-- there's nothing better than that.
About my libraryNon-fiction, cookbooks, scrapbooking & art books with a healthy dose of fiction. Boxes of YA books in the garage until the little guy is a reader. Many of the titles have been with me since I was a kiddo.

I was your Secret Santa person and I just wanted you to know that I read "I Love You, Beth Cooper" during my recent vacation and absolutely LOVED it! My first A+ book of 2009! So thank you, thank you, thank you! It was pretty much perfect from beginning to end and I think I giggled throughout. Perfect pick! I'll be writing my review soon ... more people must read this book!

I am Jenners26 -- your Secret Santee! I just got my books from Amazon. You did a great job!!! At first I didn't realize what it was and thought my husband had somehow pulled off something amazing and bought me books I would really like for Christmas. Then I saw the gift message and realized what it was. You did a great job of picking books for me! I am so excited! Thank you for being such a great Secret Santa! I'll let you know when I am done them ... but don't hold your breath -- I've been a really slow reader lately! Thank you thank you thank you!
