Hi Leah! Yes, The Giant's House arrived last week, and I am finding it quite intriguing... I judge a book by how much I think about it when I'm not reading, and I have to say I'm doing that a lot with this one. I'm only about a third of the way through, since I'm also half-reading "I, Elizabeth" in anticipation of the new Queen Elizabeth movie that comes out next week... I'll never finish in time, I know... but I'm trying! I rarely have two books going at once, so this is different for me.

I will definitely let you know when I finish.... as for "The Rest of Her Life" -- it wasn't sucking me in... I may go back to it, but probably not for a while.

Are you familiar with "Away" by Amy Bloom? It's the next book on my Zooba list, and I'm very anxious to get it. I've been reading quite a bit about it, and the author is doing a signing here in NY at the end of the month. I'll let you know....

Hey Leah.... thank you right back for your message... I just ordered "The Giant's House" from Amazon Used (greatest thing ever) -- can't wait to get it! I still can't find anything that I can't put down and it's frustrating me. I started "The Rest of Her Life by Laura Moriarty, but could put it down (will probably go back) and then Ann Packer's new one, "Songs Without Words" because I'd like to go see her at a booksigning on Monday night. But again, I don't think about it when I'm not reading it, which is how I judge a good book. Ever since "Water For Elephants" the bar has been raised, and now everything is a disappointment... I'm optimistic about The Giant's House, though.... thanks for the recommendation! I'll let you know... :-)

Hi Leahrex -- first of all, I love love love the pic you have!! That was/is my favorite show ever and I was devastated when it was cancelled!! I'm so jealous that you're a corporate life drop out.... I wish I could be... want to leave it all behind and open a used bookstore/cafe somewhere. Some day.

Anyway, I like your library -- you know that the film version of Then She Found Me just premiered at the Toronto Film Festival? I love Elinor Lipman and can't wait to see the movie! And The Other Boleyn Girl comes out in February -- they better not screw it up. That book sent me on an odyssey of reading all the English historical fiction I could get my hands on.... and now I'm running out of it!
