About meI was born in Wolf Point Montana on June 19, 1931. My family left there and moved to Palouse, Washington in December 1937. Drought conditions and government policies forced my father to quit farming. He retrained as an auto mechanic. Our move was made because there was more work available in eastern Washington. I grew up in Spokane, Washington attending high school at Lewis and Clark High School and graduating in June 1950. I graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane in June 1954 with a BS degree in chemistry and finished graduate work at New Mexico Highlands University in November 1955. I went to work at Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, Alabama on November 28, 1955 and worked fourteen years as a research chemist. I married Patricia Herrod in April 1969. I was unemployed for six years and did some volunteer work during that time. In May of 1976 I went back to work for Southern Research Institute as a computer programmer and worked for them in that capacity for six years. I went to work for the Social Security Administration as a system programmer in September 1982 and retired on June 30, 2006. I started writing Time Line Warriors in August of 2006 and completed it in July of the following year. I have written two other novels and am working on a fourth. I was also a co-author of a number of scientific papers and wrote a novelette called The Third Party for a magazine called If Worlds of Science Fiction in 1954. It was for a contest of stories detailing what America would be like in one hundred years. I won fourth prize of one hundred dollars. I think my knowledge of scientific research is apparent in the novel, Time Line Warriors.
