Thanks! Your encouragement is much appreciated! These reviews are, in fact, almost the same (minor editing, mostly) as my reviews for Amazon UK, under the name Clifford, and I'm undertaking the job of copying them for the same reason in both places. As you say, there are precious few indications of even subject matter on either LT or Amazon, and I find this frustrating. Quite a few relevant books are not available on Amazon, which means I get relatively few 'helpful' markings there, but there must be others, like myself, who build collections by investigating likely titles, and I do it for them.

Not quite what LT considers to be 'a review' in many cases, but I feel that any information is better than none, and 'a nod is as good as a wink to a blind man', as they say. It would be a very valuable service if LT had a much greater proportion of short, indicative reviews, but maybe this is truest in the erotic literature (I don't like 'smut') genre, where literary merit is well behind potential to arouse.

I have so far copied about half my reviews across, and I'm writing more as I read the books, so things should improve. It's nice to have your support!
"anthropological smut" must be the best tag ever.
Thank you for that. It's quite tricky keeping up with all of the twists and turns these authors and publishers manage to accomplish!
I've responded with a comment on my page, which seems a better way of disseminating the information widely. Thanks for yur interest.
As far as I can tell, the list you get by running 'Search' on Dedeaux in the LibraryThing catalogue - ten definitely distinct items - gives as complete a list as has been published under his name. As you say, some are available from Amazon, second-hand. You should also be aware of 'Autumn Scandals', ostensibly written by Martin Pyx (pseudonym?), which I seem to remember attributes a couple of its chapters to Dedeaux. One thing I like about his work is in his avoidance of repetition, and his novels show quite distinct sub-styles. I suspect that the man himself, whatever his real name, is dead by now but, like you, I've had no success in investigating him. If you do find out anything, please report it somewhere. Erotic literature authors in general don't get a good coverage in Wiki - I'm doing what little I can!
It is a good trilogy! I understand that a new contribution is due, too. Quite strong stuff, and that may explain why the author feels the need for a pseudonym. Interesting that you like Dedeaux - many find him a bit overpowering. Your 'smut' tags are amusing - I'm interested in this sort of description boundary (or are 'boundaries' actually user-defined regions within the erotic-pornographic continuum?) in this area. I prefer 'erotic literature' for the whole spectrum, but then even using the word 'literature' can be more than contentious here, too. Thanks for your comment.
Hey ~ thanks so much for your recommendation of Child 44! i'll put it on my TBR list and be sure to get to it.
I've um.....only read 'certain parts'.....ahem. hehe
especially at certain times;)
thanks for your comment btw....:)
I'll admit I spent a little time skipping to the 'better parts'.....a bit strange in some places, but not too shabby either!
great books lenny!
i'll definitely check out The Company of Strangers. I'm reading Tinker, Tailor right now along w/ a Christine Feehan for the dark chick lit fun which i'll finish in a few hours. i'll mix in The Company of Strangers and try to get both done by my next book club meeting (for the Le Carre). Thx!
Ya -- i'm really looking forward to The Road. i keep getting diverted by fun, sexy lightweight stuff. And right now i'm plowing through a John le Carre for an upcoming bookclub meeting.

i love the names of some of the folks that share your library -- kinkycouple, penitentialalarts, thrasher, privateporn and seekingzen. But my favorite name has GOT to be bitesizepieces! :-)
i enjoyed your collection.
Since we can only do 200 books for free, I've only catalogued my two favorite genres, erotica and post apocalyptic fiction.
Yay Lenny! You & your sexy collection!
