About meI am a book loving, cross-stitching business manager looking to start writing and work at a library! I live with my three cats, chihuahua, and my wonderful boyfriend.

Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa
Men have named you
You're so like the lady with the mystic smile
Is it only cause you're lonely
They have blamed you
For that Mona Lisa strangeness in your smile

Do you smile to tempt a lover, Mona Lisa
Or is this your way to hide a broken heart
Many dreams have been brought to your doorstep
They just lie there, and they die there
Are you warm, are you real, Mona Lisa?
Or just a cold and lonely, lovely work of art?

About my libraryI just received a Kindle, so some books have "Kindle" as a tag. This means I have a kindle/ebook version, but doesn't necessarily mean I don't have a paper version.

Own- means I own it but not necessarily read it yet.
Wishlist- I wantz!
Vampire Fiction- self explanatory, I love Vampire/fantasy, it is a category in my library unto its own.

If it is rated and/or reviewed, it means I've read it.

My Library is constantly changing, so sometimes its hard to keep up with it, I'm trying to save up for another bookcase, VERY SOON, so I will be doing a major OVERHAUL.

Series I've started:
Sebastian St. Cyr Mystery Series by C.S. Harris
Balzano/Byrne detective series by Richard Montanari
Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris
Elizabeth I Mysteries by Karen Harper
Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters

I just finished The Time Traveler's Wife and I see you're just starting it. Have fun!
I really like it so far. It's definitely unlike anything else I've ever read. I hope you like it!
It's always nice when someone wants to be your friend - even on the internet. Thanks!
I loved Practical Magic as well! You should read The Probable Future by her too. It's my favorite Alice Hoffman book so far.
I started Julie and Julia on my lunch break. It was hard to decide between this or Assassination Vacation (as I have a new I must read everything by this author author.. Sarah Vowell), but deciding factor was the number of people waiting for the book behind me at the library. The movie hasn't come out yet, but I might just have to go see it.
My babies are Linus (black and white) and Mo (brown). We've had Linus since he was a puppy and we rescued Mo a year and a half ago. I think I'm in need of a new picture of them come to think of it.
Julie and Julia? Yea or nay? How are you feeling about the upcoming movie?
As a big reader, how are you enjoying the Kindle? My graduate classes have been talking about them a lot lately......
If your favorite part of Little Women is the Civil War backdrop, go read March by Geraldine Brooks. It tells the father's side of the story in Little Women. Read it last year and LOVED LOVED LOVED March. (and I never get tired of telling others to read it!! or anything by Geraldine Brooks for that matter.)
Are you trying to tempt the "on the fence" Kindle purchaser?
Noticed you liked The Virgin Suicides, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
