About my librarymuch smaller than it used to be, thanks to a tremendous trans-oceanic move to guam. before i availed myself of a truly awesome major city public library system and am now adjusting to the university of guam holdings and a small public library. have also developed a pretty good relationship with the local postmaster who now handles a fair amount of paper-oriented orders going to box. B)

my reading tastes tend to vary from subject to subject (hence a lot of books on death, trash, food, marriage), with the unifying theme being that of cultural histories and others leaning heavily towards sociology and women's studies.

i tend to lift book recommendations from npr, salon, atlantic monthly, ny times book review, la times book review, the daily show, gastronomica, and bitch magazine, although i would love to expand from there... any suggestions welcome.

at this time avoiding most fiction but open to suggestions for latin american, caribbean, and african lit.
