How to get a hold of Blonde Lotus? As far as I know, you can order directly from the publishers, Haven Books, at http://www.havenbooksonline.com/books/bl.... They have an extensive list of countries they ship to. There's great literature, and then there's the damn good reads for those of us in the right time at the right place.
I like your profile and your collection of Asian American and gay titles... Ever thought of learning Cantonese from a Norwegian?? Or at least read about a Norwegian burning a trail of mishap across China while learning the language(s): if yes, you could pick up Cecilia Gamst Berg's Blonde Lotus. She lives in my neighbourhood here in Hong Kong.
How are you getting along with learning Japanese? I am wondering if I picked the best kanji dictionary...?
Ha! You are funny! Are you a virgo too?
I have been gravitating more and more towards Commonwealth writers and comparative Lit. In the latter I am focusing on Asian Lit in general and South Asian (Indian subcontinent) Lit in particular.

While I love my (geek) day-job, I constantly wish I had the opportunity to go back to school for a full-fledged degree in Lit/Comp Lit, in part because it is so tough to find serious conversations about the books that I am reading.
