About meThe oldest of seven children, I was born and raised in Northern California in the beautiful county of Sonoma about an hour north of San Francisco. I've been married to a wonderful man, Robert, for 28 years. We have a beautiful adopted daughter, Michelle. We currently live in a remote mountain town in Shasta County on ten acres that we share with our three cats, two dogs, and an abundance of wild creatures.

I love to write, always have, but it wasn’t until recently (well, within the last ten years!) that I took it seriously enough to write an entire book. Even so, it was never my intention to get it published much less have someone else read it. I suppose I filled up all those cheap notebooks for relaxation, joy, and even therapy. Finally, the subject of my story “Singing Winds” came up in conversation with a dear friend. She encouraged me to allow her to read it. I relented even though the story wasn’t finished. She loved it and urged me to finish it and get it published. Through her encouragement, I realized that God has given me a precious gift and I am so excited that my first book, Singing Winds, is now published!

About my librarySince I'm a Christian and have a passion for Native American culture, I have books that reflect this. I enjoy reading books with a positive message, especially romance, but I steer clear of the steamy, erotic type novels. I have nothing against the authors of these books, some of whom are very talented writers, I just don't want to fill my head with worldly thoughts. I have to ask myself: "would Jesus read this?"
