About meCurrently writing my dissertation, so my reading is very limited to science-y things. However, am looking forward to having time to curl up with a good book late into the night when I have finished. I'm also moving to Paris in October, to begin my post-doctoral work, so will have an entire literary city and tradition to explore. Any recommendations for good books (fiction or non) about France, history and/or culture would be much appreciated!

About my libraryWill add to it slowly but surely. Had to downsize my library by about 95% for my move to France, so this will be my virtual substitute. I'm expecting lots of cooking, knitting and classic fiction - if my old bookshelves were an accurate representation of who I am today.
