About meRetired from Boeing (administrative/computing). Married. Dogs and a cat. Love to explore unusual landscapes on foot, especially those around Moab, Utah. Reading has drastically tapered off in the last few years but don't know why (but still love to do crossword puzzles). Have been thinking about cataloging my collection of books for a year or so; the social aspect of this site is motivating me to follow through on that desire. Joined LibraryThing after learning of it from fellow member brewbooks.

About my libraryMy books fill three six-foot-high bookcases and a few boxes. 99% of my collection is non-fiction. Subjects (listed alphabetically): bridges, computing/programming, do-it-yourself, dogs, France, geology/geomorphology, hiking and climbing, history, photography, railroads, reference, sociology/psychology, tools, travel, urban planning, writing/grammar. I also have tons of maps.

Hi, welcome to LibraryThing, and thanks for the "Interesting Libraries" linkage.

I have little concept as to what it actually means - I figured I would try it and see if I could figure it out. (Actually my friend Clark will figure it out and let me know...)
