About meMy interests should be pretty obvious at this point. :) I am married to a fellow geek. He bought me a book on etymology as a gift shortly after we started dating -- this was an indication that he was right for me!

About my libraryI have hundreds of books, scattered throughout my home. It will take a LONG time to get them on LibraryThing. Unfortunately I don't have enough shelves for my books at the moment so a lot of books aren't easily accessible. I will try to add a few books every day. As of February 2009 there is still a long way to go, so keep checking back.

I envy LanguageHat's language book collection -- my goal in life is to have at least that many language books.

*grin* Our first Christmas together (we'd been dating ~6 months), Joel bought me Withycombe. Best present I've ever received.
*laugh* I'd noticed that you'd been high up on the list of weighted shared books, but I didn't recognize the screen name.
I would go for "Babbitt" next. It's one of those novels that at first seems outdated, but the more you read the more immediate and modern it seems. Great stuff.
You've got a nice stack of stuff there. What did you think of "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis? Over the past few years he's been slowly becoming one of my favorite authors, but he doesn't get a lot of recognition these days.

Happy cataloging.
Hi there!

I'm trying to clean up the Neil Gaiman listings, and was wondering if you could edit your "Sandman" entries to indicate which volumes you own?
What? We have no books in common yet? I'll have to get around to entering those Narnia books.
Little Nemo has way more medieval history books than I could ever aspire to. I'll just have to borrow hers.
