About meI am a recent graduate. When I am not looking for jobs I am looking for new books!
About my libraryI do not have a large personal library. Because of space constraints I try to keep only the books that are close to my heart. I love my public library. Once I've read one I enjoy, I can't wait to add it to my collection! However small my library may be, I have still organized my collections as follows:
Favorites: These books are ones that I love. For the most part I feel that they represent the kind of books I enjoy reading the most. Some of them I own, while others are books that I would like to own. Both will be cross referenced in my "Your Library" and "Wish List" collections.
Your Library: These are all the books I own. I have read most of them.
Currently Reading: These are the books I am reading at the moment. The ones I own will also be in my "Your Library" collection.
To Read: These are mostly the books I own and have not yet read. (These are also cross-referenced with my "Your Library" collection.) Some books in this collection are books I would like to borrow (from my public library or friends) before I buy them.
Read but Unowned: I do not currently have anything in the category because I have forgotten so many of the books I have read. However, I will be updating this category from now on since LT has made it so easy to catalog everything!
Wish List: These are books I would like to own.
Children's Book Collection: These are books from my childhood that I have kept.
Cook Books: These are my reference books for everything cooking related.
Sheet Music: These are books of music that I own. (Pretty self-explanatory.)
Video Game Guides: These are video game guides that I own. (Also pretty self-explanatory.)

I like your library. One thing I do to find book suggestions is to enter books in my library that I have read and really liked. Then if you look at the recommendations that Librarything generates and that other members suggest you might find books you'd like.
Have you read Color Purple? When I was in college Jool lent me her copy...I really loved it. I had to read the two sequels right after I finished it.
