Hi! I'm new here (retired HS teacher of English and Latin, suddenly with some time on her hands to appreciate her library), and surprised to see that although we share *When the World was Whole* (which I haven't read), you don't seem to have much Patrick White. What gives?
Is that rude? I don't mean to be. I'm delighted to find people who value everybody from Jack McDevitt to John Cowper Powys with a little Wodehouse thrown in for seasoning.....and lots of others too.
Ha, you and I are the only ones with Geoff Page's ''Freehold''. Good book eh? Have you read others of his? We share about 30 books, but then I haven't put all of mine in yet so who knows?
Right, now that Christmas shopping, wrapping, cooking, eating, and cleaning up after are out of the way I can get back to my favourite occupation - stuffing my Librarything! Got two new Terry Pratchett's and a couple of Cecile Dart-Thornton's for Christmas... I'll get into scanning those covers in soon.. Hope you all had a great holiday - here's wishing you a Happy New Year.
Lotsaluv,
Lyn
Greetings to you both,
I'm amazed to see that only thee and me have a copy of God : The Interview by Terry Lane! I've just read it again for the Nth time... Do you by any chance have the copy with the cartoon cover showing Terry Alan (presumably) hanging on to a church spire while holding up the microphone? I can't find an image of this cover anywhere - I'll just have to scan my copy and upload it! Glad to see you've got Animal Farm and The Triffids too - Don't we have excellent taste ;-)

Hi,
only four people have listed 'Border Country' on librarything. I know Raymond Williams is more likely read in cultural studies uni readers, but I loved this novel.

Alana.
JB - that's me.
