About me33yo, lived in london for past 10 years. single. primary school teacher. 6'2". cycle everywhere (don't own a car).also into cheesy SF, theatre, movies, cooking, conversation etc etc :)
spend far too much of my non existant disposable income on books and heaven knows how long it will take me to list all my books!
About my librarywide ranging! I still have my complete Famous Five collection with the 70's TV covers and i don't care what people think about them. a worringly large collection of very bad gay crime/romance. a fair bit of SF (but absolutley NO fantasy), any fiction goes really. can't really get into poetry or short stories so much, and try the classics every so often because i feel i should but struggle with most of them if i'm honest (jane austen being the obvious exception). have a smattering of politics/ history along my shelves as well

With the English classics, I am bowling underarm, hehe. Since I am German, I look for a recent translation, so that I don't have to deal with 19th century German at the same time! This actually got me reading Shakespeare in English (which still is work, so I use bi-lingual editions). It's fun, Shakespeare can be so funny! My next project are the Canterbury Tales, first in German, and maybe in English (I had a peek, and it seems feasible).
You're not the only one keeping children's books, lol! I actually went and stocked up my "Mark Brandis" (YA science fiction) a few years back, once the used book sellers found out about the internet.
