About meI have been a librarian for about 18 years, 15 of them in a public library and most recently in a community college. I love to read. My favorite genres are romance, mystery, suspense, chick lit...anything entertaining. I belong to a book club and when I read for the club, I have been introduced to some wonderful books and authors I might not otherwise have picked up, like Khaled Hosseini, Jodi Picoult, John Irving and more. I was a young adult librarian for 6 years and I LOVE YA literature and I especially love discussing it with adults and teens.

About my libraryI use Library Thing to "catalog" what I read, not necessarily what I own. Since I work in a library,I don't buy or keep a lot of books. Usually what I buy gets donated to the library afterwards.I have kept a database of books I've read for many years, so I am systematically adding titles from my database to LT.

GroupsARC Junkies, Children's Fiction, Crime, Thriller & Mystery, Early Reviewers, Humor, LTers with dogs, Newbery Challenge, Read YA Lit, Romance - from historical to contemporary

I enjoyed your review of "Chasing the Night" You did a good job and I've added it to my TBR list.

Thank you sooo much for the lovely review of The Wednesday Sisters. Such wonderful praise means even more to me coming from a librarian. Librarians quite honestly turned me into a voracious reader one otherwise miserable summer when I was eleven, and more recently gave me so much help in researching for The Wednesday Sisters. The mansion would not be in the novel but for the Palo Alto library staff help. I wrote a little piece a couple years ago about how important librarians have been to me, still posted on the ALA site:
