About meCreataholic and mother of six, I've been a dedicated book worm since I learned to read at the age of four.
My this years 75 Books Challenge thread is http://www.librarything.com/topic/131300

I don't read as many books as I used to though, because I spend so much time writing instead.

I've been published under two names, and since LT won't search or combine "secondary" authors yet, here's the link to the other me:

About my libraryWhen I first joined LT, I started by adding everything I had readily to hand by a few favorite authors. I soon decided that was a slow way to find interesting correspondences between my library and other people's, so I started adding one book from each author. That also bogged down quickly.

I am now using LT to keep track of what I'm currently reading, whether I own it or not. I find it very useful and convenient for that purpose, and I suspect that will continue to be the main thrust of my LT library additions in the future. I find the task of adding each book as I read (or reread) it to be much less intimidating that the thought of trying to catalog every book in the house.

Note: I do not use the Wishlist collection as an actual wishlist. The books that are in there, are there because I want them to have purplish checkmarks. :)

Ummm.....No? Okay, yes, I'm guilty. It's the fault of the Con Committee, honest; they begged me to do it!

Found this site a while back, I've been too lazy (and cheap) to sign up for full membership, but eventually I'll have to just to get an actual count and catalog of our books.
Hi LShelby,

I thought this new topic might interest you: http://www.librarything.com/topic/123675

Following your post on the 'creation of worlds' thread in Hobnob, I looked through your website because I thought that sounded really cool.

It is cool.

two thoughts - your news section is out of date by 2 years?
You've written a lot of stuff! Have you thought about putting it up on Smashwords or the like, and seeing how people get on with it?

keep reading and writing!

Very sensible post on the published writer thread.

I was hoping you might drop by the Le Salon thread “Alex Austin: Underappreciated Author” The thread has been up about three weeks and I think the accumulated inteview should be intriguing to anyone interested in books and the writing process. The URL is http://www.librarything.com/topic/82398

Just explored your page -- what fun! Kudos to you. You posted about your 2008 award on my bday. I've been reading since I was four too :) Are you in the process of becoming an LT author?
re: getting your library inputted, I really couldn't believe how fast it went using the isbns. Maybe one of the 6 could do it? It's simplest for me to input tags on random books from the addbook page too. Usually though I input a mess of the same genre and then go to the tags, select "no tag" and input there. My 'fav' authors list here doesn't really reflect all my fav authors. I adore Wrede :) Enjoyed one DW Jones and then was horrified by the next (years ago and don't remember why) so I put her in the "no more" category. Bujold, well, she is just terrif! Good to meet you
