Groups1001 Books to read before you die, Seattleites
About me I love to read, write, travel and find fabulous adventures in the process. I moved back to my hometown of Seattle this year after many years away. It's beautiful and I am finally appreciating all it has to offer. On the weekends I like to get outside during the day and take my dog for walks in the beautiful parks and neighborhoods.
I have a degree in International Studies and a minor in African Studies. I currently work as the Sales and Marketing Director for a Seattle Hotel. It is not exactly what I dreamed I would do but I enjoy it all the same and learn to fulfill dreams in other areas.
As soon as I move into a new place the design of it is centered around the placement of my bookshelfs. My books are like old friends that offer relieve and comfort from the trials of the day. I dream of opening a bookstore someday where I can make a place of serenity and peace that others can feel.
I am also a Christian though sometimes I cring at what that implies. I do believe that Truth is definite and that the longing we have int his world we try to fill with all sorts of things but it is really our longing for the eternity we were created for. C.S. Lewis is my favorite Christian author and in line with my beliefs.
About my library My library is a melody of books that are predominantly different but all are unique in that they have touched me in some way. (well there are some I just have). I love old writers and their ability to put you right into the story and also to give you some philosophy, poetry, adventure and romance all together. I also love religious musings especially about solitude and stillness. Books about world politics, relations, history, culture are a huge interest to me. HMMM you know just look through you will get it.
