About meWidowed, cat-lover, book-lover.

About my libraryI finished cataloguing my books today (May 30th 2006). If I hadn't left behind some books when I moved a couple of years ago, there would have been around 4000 of 'em. I regret not having those other books now, if only because they'd fill out the collection - but I've no more room for bookshelves and I keep on acquiring books at a steady rate.
I've found some real gems and some absolute stinkers, not to mention a shedload of duplicates...I think I shall have to rid myself of some of the really awful stuff, letting "Raxl, Voodoo Priestess" loose on an unsuspecting world!

hi, we are called Dandy and Beano - two cats belonging to our bibliophile owner. We love it when he finishes a book - he remembers to feed us!!
Hi, Just a brief note to let you know that I have just scanned and uploaded the cover for Cooking for Two by Katie Stewart. There are only five of us who have entered it, so I'll drop everybody a quick note.

Take care

Jim
Finally got round to joining up - listing books only occurs when I go to get them from the basement to read, so don't be alarmed by the short list :o)
Hello
I notice you have several Marriott Edgar books in your collection and I was wondering if you could help me, if you bought these used, where did you purchase them?

My stepfather used to have several of his books as a child and has asked me to hunt them down for Christmas this year, but so far have found nothing local. Everything on Amazon is expensive and in bad shape and the good copies I've seen online are overseas. If you have any ideas where I could buy these, even at collector prices, but under $100, I'd be very grateful for your suggestions.

Thanks so much
Cassandra
Hi
I'm pleased to see that we have put each other on the new 'Interesting Libraries' listing. Also that we share 609 books, which comprise quite a cross-section of our collections. As you are another UK member, can I ask how Leeds and the surrounding area is for good bookshops.
Regards
Luis Coll recently died; what an extraordinary diccionario his is.
