About meI am that girl who carried a book with her no matter where she went: a restaurant, a movie theater, a party. Saying I love to read is like saying need to breathe. As my family would say "Way to state the _obvious_".

In most of my family vacation pictures, I am sitting off to the side or in a corner somewhere comfortable and you can't see my face. The only way you can tell it's me is by the book in front of my head. A great way to entertain myself _and_ avoid getting my picture taken ;)

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Literature Nerd
Does sitting by a nice cozy fire, with a cup of hot tea/chocolate, and a book you can read for hours even when your eyes grow red and dry and you look sort of scary sitting there with your insomniac appearance? Then you fit this category perfectly! You love the power of the written word and it's eloquence; and you may like to read/write poetry or novels. You contribute to the smart people of today's society, however you can probably be overly-critical of works.

I have a phobia of long series and/or open-ended ones.

It's okay. I understand.

About my libraryI love fantasy, science fiction (anything to do with space, time travel, aliens, supernatural, etc), historical fiction, crime (my favorites are by authors like Don Winslow or Ken Bruen, who write from the POV of the criminal a lot of the time. Bruen's books are poetry of violence and crime), crime thrillers, mystery, psychological thrillers, and I enjoy a good dystopian book. I recently got into horror. I watch that genre, but I just started to find that I like to read it too. I really like post-apocalyptic books. Not only because of the entertainment factor, but the symbolism in a lot of them. I think that you can have an intellectual discussion as long and deep about one as an old stuffy literature book.

If you want to cause a shutdown of my brain just ask me who my favorite author is or what my favorite book is. Just thinking about it leaves me in a quandary.
